Bill Gaytten and his team stayed on trend by incorporating the continuing trend of tulle, organza, and silk, with rich color schemes of deep reds, orange and pale neutrals. The Spring/Summer 2012 collection also brought back some of the classic Dior silhouettes, in particular a modernized classic 1950s Dior jacket and wrapped bodice effect also from that period. In this respect, the brand is in line with the re-emergence of the ’50s aesthetic that is beginning to dominant the industry.
